Students are also asked to brainstorm a name for their country and where their country is located on a world map. Location is important as it must be in the water not in a continent that already exists. Students must decide the shape of their country for example if it is called Rocket Island the country may be shaped like a rocket. Location is important in the sense that is also effects clothing and food for their country. If their country is close to the equator then they will writing about shorts/t-shirt/rainy gear but if it is close to Antarctica then they will be writing about snow pants/boots/gloves etc.
A world map will be sent home for students to plot their country.
