Today students began thinking about what they want to wear for Halloween, when they decided they wrote clues for their friends to guess what they will be. Students started with an example from me:
My costume is black and yellow. It has wings and antenna. I make a buzzing sound. Who/What am I?

Today students worked on their summative assessment - they finished their good copy and practised their presentations for tomorrow. Please see below for email that was sent out (please let me know if you are not receiving my emails!)
Students have been busy working away on their good copy of their summative assessment. It is to be finished in class today as students will be presenting their country tomorrow to the class. Students will need to talk about each section of their country. When presenting I am looking for the students to:
1. State their country name
2. Show their country flag/location on the map
3. Discuss weather, clothing, food, housing
Students will be marked on their presentations based on:
1. organization of thoughts - in sequence
2. Grasp of information - answers questions, knowledge of content
3. Voice/stance - confident, audible
4. Eye contact - looking at class not at paper
Students are to practise tonight, they will be bringing home their good copy of their summative. Please, please ensure it makes it back tomorrow in order for it to be graded for the report card.
