Math:
Students in grade 1 - learned what a calculator is and how to use it for simple math equations. Students also practised writing numerals and number words.
Students in grade 2 - practised filling in missing numbers on number lines with numbers ranging 1-50.
Agendas: Students wrote reminders
1. Summative Assessment outline sent home - how to prepare. Parents read over the letter and brainstorm ideas and topics with your child. You could make a mind map of your brainstormed ideas and send it in with your child so they can work on their project.
2. Please look over your child's Italy post card initial and return back to school on Monday. If you have not done so please return initialed math test and letter to a friend so I can add the pieces to your child's work binder.
Parents please sign/initial your child's agenda to show me that you have read it, when that is done they will get a sticker to decorate their agenda each time.

Unit of inquiry:
Today students used the pictures of Japan they brought in to make a travel poster highlighting key details such as Food, Clothing, Shelter, Other, Transportation.
Thank you to the students who showed ACTION by bringing in different items about Japan to share with our class:
