Students then continued to write their friendly letter to a family member who wants to visit Mississauga. We wrote about what to pack and expect food, clothing, weather, shelter, transportation, and leisure.

Please practise the 7 continents of the world song: Ask your child to sing it to/with you

Seven Continents
(to the tune of: Take Me Out to the Ball Game)

Let's name all of the continents,
there are seven on Earth.
There's Europe and Asia and Australia,
North and South America.
Now don't forget about Africa,
 and Antartica too.
For there's 1...2....3, 4, 5, 6, 7 con-ti-nents!
Language:

For todays lesson we reviewed what a noun is (Person/Name, Place or Thing) We then went on to learn what an adjective is ( a word to describe a noun). We read the story curious george goes to the library. Students then identified describing words from the story and we made an adjective mind map. In their table groups students then came up with as many adjectives as they could think of to describe our learner profile Inquirer.

An inquirer loves to discover new things, they have many questions!
