Math: Today students worked on a back to school package. Students are reviewing their addition and subtraction skills. Most of us made it through the addition colour by number and just need to finish up the subtraction for homework.
Agendas: Students wrote reminders
1. Lunch forms due tomorrow
2. Students are to wear their house colours tomorrow and not uniforms
3. to complete the math subtraction page
Parents please sign/initial your child's agenda to show me that you have read it, when that is done they will get a sticker to decorate their agenda each time.
Daily 5 -
Today students worked on their writing. They got their journals out and wrote 3-4 sentences about things they did this summer. Take a look:

unit of inquiry:
Today we reviewed our new unit, we talked about communities. Communities in our town, the SJA community and our community classroom. We discussed things you see in communities and how they are diverse. We finished working on a map of our community classroom.
language:
Students continued to work on their back to school booklet. They filled in a page all about themselves, their family, and something they would like to do this year.
