Unit of inquiry:
Today students completed a graphic organizer listing different things about leisure, transportation, clothing, food, shelter in Italy (based on the video we saw yesterday) Once they completed this students imagined they were in Venice sightseeing. They were required to write a postcard to a friend about Venice. They were also required to draw a picture of something they saw while sight seeing.
Language:
For today's lesson students edited their postcard ensuring they had proper sentences that made sense and had detail. They also ensured they had a capital and proper punctuation.
When completed grade one's began working on their cursive homework and grade two's began to work in their Ontario Writing books. Today they were learning about proper sentence structure ensuring that sentences made sense and that they were formed correctly.
