In partners students designed their own patterns using at least two of the above attributes. One would create the pattern and then it would be up to their partner to finish the pattern, circle the pattern core and record the attributes used. Then the partners would switch and re - do the task, take a look:

Unit of inquiry:
Today we took students worked on describing features of our community. As a class we reviewed how to write a letter. Students then wrote a friendly letter to a family member who wants to visit Mississauga. We wrote about what to pack and expect food, clothing, weather, shelter, transportation, and leisure.

Please practise the 7 continents of the world song: Ask your child to sing it to/with you

Seven Continents
(to the tune of: Take Me Out to the Ball Game)

Let's name all of the continents,
there are seven on Earth.
There's Europe and Asia and Australia,
North and South America.
Now don't forget about Africa,
 and Antartica too.
For there's 1...2....3, 4, 5, 6, 7 con-ti-nents!
Language:

Students completed the spelling test in their Spelling note books.

A big thank you to Aarnav who brought us a special treat for his birthday!
