With the fundraiser of cookie dough and gift cards the school is hoping to raise enough to purchase a PA system for the school. Order forms are due Nov. 20th as a way to ensure all gift cards are sent home before the Christmas holidays to be given as gifts.

From November 9-20, parent guild will be having a gift card campaign and cookie dough fundraiser. Perfect for the Christmas season, which is just around the corner. All funds raised will go towards a PA System!! GET OUT THERE AND SELL SOME COOKIES AND GIFT CERTIFICATES!! The class that sells the most will win a pizza party!!"

Math:
Students in grade 1 - worked on learning the names, values, and pictures of all Canadian coins. They then used paper money to make 10 cents in three different ways.
Students in grade 2 - Students worked on the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter page in their money booklet. They wrote the names, values, and picture for each coin and then worked on different ways to make 5cents, 10 cents, and 25 cents

5. Students are all bringing home the story for our Christmas concert. Each student has been assigned a paragraph that they and a few others must memorize.

Students continued working on their summative assessment, they will be presenting their products on Friday. Please ensure all materials are sent back to school tomorrow for us to work on.
Language:
grade 1 - students worked on r controlled vowels such as ar, ir, or, ur, er, we made a list of words we knew for each and then worked on a worksheet that had us put our new found skills into practise.
grade 2 - Students completed their Ontario Writing Assessment where they had to write a persuasive advertisement for a candy they have invented.
