reviewed how to make numbers different ways for example:

They also reviewed number stories using addition and subtraction
Students in grade 2 - worked on various word problems that required both addition and subtraction sometimes in the same problem as well as re-grouping (addition) and borrowing (subtraction)

We continued our new UOI on Structures. Today we discussed what a fastener is and how they are used in our everyday life.

Students in grade two:
worked in their Ontario Writing books on building paragraphs. First we looked at paragraphs in a book. Then we talked about how each paragraph has a topic. Students were given pictures in their books and had to write what they thought the topic of the paragraph would be. Afterwards students worked on their New Years resolutions sheet.
