Calendar: the special helper puts up the date, adds to our weather graph, and counts days at school.

Daily 5:
students were very silly today and could not settle down enough to complete our daily five rotation so instead we read quietly to our selves.

Unit of inquiry:

today we continued our new UOI reviewing the definition of a simple machine.  Today we learned what a inclined plane is; A slanting surface connecting a lower level to a higher level. We then completed an experiment to see which surface would make the best inclined plane for a toy car - regular paper, wax paper, sand paper,  or aluminum foil.
We found wax paper to be very slippery, and the toy car slid fast!
